“DEPENDS” and “S.A.D” bring uncertainty and the experience of facing sadness into one release.

Teaser goes online after an Oakland preview

XG shared the “DEPENDS” music video teaser on November 4, two days before the new single arrives. It first received a surprise screening at the Oakland concert on November 3, local time, connecting the opening of the North American leg of “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE” with the new release campaign.

The clip opens with the members facing the camera and putting on smiles together. A mysterious creature then appears, prompting them to run out of frame after it. This brief scene introduces the upcoming video while the official announcement confirms a November 6 single containing “DEPENDS” and “S.A.D”.

Digital release at midnight in each time zone

XGALX lists the streaming and download release for Friday, November 6, 2026, at 12 a.m. within each time zone. For listeners in Romania, that means local midnight at the start of Friday. The announcement uses a local release schedule rather than one simultaneous worldwide time tied to Korea or Japan.

The official description frames “DEPENDS” around the difficulty of giving a simple yes or no, and continuing forward while still unsure. “S.A.D” considers whether facing sadness signals weakness or strength, embracing that experience without denying its contradictions or pain. These are the themes presented for the two songs ahead of release.

A US CD edition alongside the tour

A US-exclusive CD edition accompanies the digital single. Preorders opened on October 8, and the official listing specifies digipak packaging with a CD and no photocard. The announced tracklist places “DEPENDS” first and “S.A.D” second.

The release falls among the tour’s first North American stops. After Oakland, the announced itinerary continues to Los Angeles on November 5, Chicago on November 9, Hamilton on November 12 and Newark on November 14. “DEPENDS” therefore reaches streaming platforms between the Los Angeles and Chicago concerts.
