Cast confirmed for a 2027 premiere
MBC confirmed on November 5, 2026 that Shin Min Ah, Lee Jin Uk and Yoo Teo will lead its new romance 수목금, rendered literally as Wed Thurs Fri. The 12-episode drama is scheduled for the first half of 2027 and reunites former lovers after 12 years apart.
The title comes from the restaurant at the heart of the story, open only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. MBC has placed the production in its Friday–Saturday drama lineup. Its official introduction frames the reunion around love, forgiveness and personal growth.
A first love returns to Kim Dong Woo’s restaurant
Shin Min Ah plays Cha Eun Soo, who seeks out her first love while hiding her real reasons for returning. She has since married another man. Beyond her position within that marriage, she still longs for the life she truly wants for herself.
Lee Jin Uk portrays Kim Dong Woo, the restaurant’s chef. He carries memories of the first love he could not hold on to and follows an emotionally detached routine. He works three days a week and does nothing for the remaining four, until Eun Soo arrives.
Yoo Teo and the creative team
Yoo Teo plays Lee Won Pil, Eun Soo’s husband and an executive director at Hangu Construction. Professional ability and wealth sit alongside an inability to love. His unconventional approach to protecting someone and his distorted desires introduce another source of tension into the three characters’ relationships.
Jung Dong Yoon, known for Gyeongseong Creature and Stove League, directs. The World of the Married writer Joo Hyun supplies the screenplay, with Dr. Romantic writer Kang Eun Kyung joining as creator. Their story places present choices alongside a past that continues to weigh on its characters.
